Lycra Fabric Care
Lycra materials require extra care to maintain their softness, quality, shape, and durability.
Hand washing in cold water is highly recommended.
If using a washing machine, turn the garment inside out and select a gentle or delicate cycle.
Always wash in cold water. High temperatures can weaken the Lycra fibers and affect the garment’s fit and lifespan.
Wash separately from rough or textured fabrics, including polyester items, lab coats, and garments with zippers or metal hardware.
Avoid bleach, bleaching agents, harsh detergents, and strong fabric treatments, as they may damage the fibers and deteriorate the fabric.
Air drying is strongly recommended.
Do not tumble dry, as heat can affect the garment’s softness, quality, elasticity, and durability. If machine drying is unavoidable, use the lowest possible heat and shortest cycle.
Lycra fabric requires minimal ironing. If needed, iron inside out using the lowest heat setting.
Following these care instructions will help preserve the fabric’s softness, structure, elasticity, and longevity.
